Brilliant writing, of course.
Having lived in 9 countries and stayed in more than 50 cities worldwide – ranging from hovels to hostels to 1-5 star hotels – I can say with experience that Barcelona requires a good place to stay, in a season other than summer, in a time other than the days that Spain does NOT win the world cup.
Barcelona deserves more than being desribed as dirty and crowded.
